MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho has a better chance of winning the Champions League this season for one simple reason - Alexis Sanchez
Those are the thoughts of BBC Radio 5 live pundit Paul Robinson.
Manchester United signed Sanchez last month from Arsenal in a deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head in the other direction.
With the Premier League beyond them as Manchester City are too far out in front, Mourinho will still be eyeing glory in the Champions League and has pedigree in the competition, having previously lifted Europe’s top prize while in charge of Porto and Inter Milan.
And Robinson is convinced that Sanchez is the “final piece of the jigsaw” for now that will bolster United’s hopes of success in Europe.
Discussing Sanchez’s attributes, Robinson told BBC Radio 5 live: “When you look at him he’s everywhere.
“His energy, the way he wants the ball.
“He’s a player who always wants the ball no matter where, tight areas.
“Whether it’s wide - he goes out wide, makes it horrible for people to try and mark him and I think for him now that’s the final piece of the jigsaw for Mourinho now, going into the Champions League stages.
